Going Green

NAHBAmity Construction & Design is proud to announce our Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), recognizing our high degree of professional competence. In order to earn this designation, we were required to attend and complete the NAHB-approved training courses, as well as commit to attend and complete continuing education courses every two years. Through our training, we gathered information about how green homes provide homeowners with lower energy costs and higher home values, and developed strategies for incorporating green-building principles into our homes without driving up the cost of construction.

Building green not only means building eco-friendly - it also means building smart. Green homes factor in environmental considerations and resource efficiency into every facet of the building and development process, minimizing environmental impact. The design, construction, and operation of a home must focus on energy and water efficiency, resource efficient building design and materials, indoor environmental quality, and must take the home's overall impact on the environment into account.

Let our team at Amity Construction & Design use our expertise in green building to educate you on helping to make your next construction project “green.” From energy-efficient windows and appliances to the latest technology, with a home designed and built by Amity, and our NAHB National Green Building Program standards, you’re on your way to your “green” dream home. We can incorporate the right “green” features to suit you and your family’s needs, while enabling you to qualify for various tax credits and financial incentives allotted to homeowners who purchase a new green home or choose a green remodeling project.

Building green does not necessarily mean added initial costs. Additionally, by building green you will certainly achieve utility and energy savings over time.
